Construction Administration
ABR believes that successful project execution requires that all team members (engineer, architect, general contractor, owner) act as a cohesive team and are aware of their roles and responsibilities. To that end, ABR starts the project with a kick-off meeting wherein the project mission is established, all team members are given their respective roles and responsibilities, the project schedule is finalized with milestones and critical paths, turn around times are established and key personnel are identified.
Thereafter, we provide weekly meetings, conduct site visits, monitor the project schedule on a weekly basis, process RFI’s, work with the contractor to mitigate any change orders, process payments based on the work completed and act as the liaison between the owner and the contractor. These procedures and methodology mitigate the problems experienced during construction, including creep, delays, budget overruns, community impact, safety and numerous other problems that cause project complications that negatively affect the project schedule and budget.
Additionally, ABR’s principal is a practicing attorney and degreed engineer whose law practice specialized in construction related issues, specifically, construction administration. As a result, ABR’s approach to construction management and administration is different than other firms. ABR concentrates on project schedule, project changes and site safety; all of which are critical to timely project completion within the budget parameters.
